In Sweden, I am considered a "Sambo"; this essentiallymeans that I live at the same address as my partner. It is a status, much as married or single. Many Swedes never get married even after kids come into the picture. This is also alegally valid relationship to get a residence visa.

Furthermore, the good news is, for those of you who are not, you don't have to be straight to be in a Sambo relationship, according to the government. Long live Sweden!
